Oliver Gassmann is a globally recognized authority in management of technology and innovation. As managing director of the Institute of Technology Management at the University of St. Gallen and co-founder of several centers he fully lives the university’s mission ‚from insight to impact‘.

Until 2002 he was leading Schindler‘s Corporate Research. He published over 800 publications in leading journals of different fields, like IEEE, JoM, RP, Nature Review, Drug Discovery. His book ‘The Business Model Navigator’ became rapidly a global bestseller. He has been Research Fellow at Berkeley (2007), Stanford (2012) and Harvard (2016).

He has been awarded with the Scholary Impact Award by the prestigeous Journal of Management and is the most cited scholar in R&D Management (Google Scholar, 2024). He founded three spin-offs, serves on several boards and is a frequently asked international keynote speaker.
